Dear Fellow Richmonders,
I am sorry that it has snowed so much recently. While we all relished in the sled, milk and bread-buying last week, we must recognize that life has mostly returned to normal. Yes, we got a lot of snow. Yes, a lot of it is still on the ground. And yes, many, many of the streets are not clear.
That said, is it really necessary that you drive 5-10 mph down the main roads, the ones that are clear? Does the sight of snow mean that all traffic rules, such as using your turn signal and staying in ONE lane, go out the window? I think not.
There are some of us who have to get to work, who don't want to have to leave 20 minutes earlier than normal to accomodate for your ridiculousness. We can all be safe and not be speedracers, but normal driving patterns and speeds would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah--we're supposed to get another 10ish inches this coming wknd, so can you please continue your better driving skills into next week?
Thanks a million,
Katy
Ick, but sounds like you need to get another sled!!
