I run for wine

A few months ago I signed up to run the McDonald's half-marathon. Add in a move to VA and a bout with the swine flu, and this is how I was feeling come race weekend:Brittany was the running superstar and ran the entire 13.1 miles...I copped out and dropped to the 8k, which was totally my speed. I ran/walked the almost 5 miles with Brittany's mom and we had a ball! Prior to the race we picked up our race packets at the Expo and found these fabulous shirts:
Here Brandon, Peggy and I are shivering waiting to cheer on the running superstars at the finish! (The winner of the half-marathon finished in 1 hr 5 min...Brittany was just a few steps behind him!)
At any large scale event, you can count on some good people-watching. Those of you who know me well, know that I am a devout believer in "What Not to Wear"...there is no excuse for dressing in clothes that don't fit, or that just need to be thrown in the trash. Check out a few of my favorite race fashion 'faux pas''...I know Stacy and Clinton would agree with me.
1) Who runs in Keen sandals? This was not a walk around the block...this was 5 miles! And socks with the sandals? And orange socks?
2) This dude's cheering section would CLEARLY not miss him coming around the corner! Gracious!
3) I don't really even have words for this picture. She just needs to throw them away.
