Wedding Recap

Hunter and I had a fabulous time at the Tides Inn this weekend. One of my sorority sisters, Sarah, was marrying Jonathan, so we made a weekend out of the trip! Neither of us had ever been to Irvington, VA--it is a tiny, yet very charming town on the Chesapeake. The service at the hotel was impeccable, and we just really enjoyed being away.

We arrived Friday night and found this bag waiting for us. Sarah's colors were navy and white with a hint of a nautical theme and she did a great job tying this together throughout.

Saturday morning, after room service :), we rode the inn's complimentary bikes into town to explore. We checked out a few shops, did some Christmas shopping and stopped at a coffee shop before heading back to the hotel to watch the Richmond game (go Spiders btw!).

Loved this sign in front of one of the shops!
The ceremony took place out on the croquet lawn overlooking the river. It was gorgeous. (I have put the house in the far left of the picture on my Christmas list. Just in case Santa goes BIG this year.)
Hunter and me before the wedding.
The sun set just a few minutes after the ceremony ended; the cocktail hour was outside so we all enjoyed the view.
Mr. and Mrs. Tunner! After the reception, the newlyweds hosted a bonfire on the beach with s'mores, snacks and beer/wine/hot chocolate. Such a great idea! Guests were encouraged to change in to warmer clothes and then come down. Here is Hunter enjoyig the fire!

Sunday there was a farewell brunch. It was such a great weekend to hang out and relax with my husband, but also catch up with friends. Here are 3 of my sorority sisters and myself at the brunch--so fun to see everyone!
